Danny de Wet is a bona fide South African Rock legend. He was part of a number of very successful bands, including Evoid, Petit Cheval, The Electric Petals and Wonderboom. Not only did he headline every major festival in SA, playing to over a hundred thousand fans at the “Concert In The Park” milestone charity event and appearing on bills with Simple Minds, Chris Cornell, Live, Rodriguez, The Mission, 30 Seconds To Mars, Kaiser Chiefs, Korn, Mike & The Mechanics and Good Charlotte, Danny also got to meet and hang with international superstars like Eric Clapton, U2, Richard Branson (as the V2 label manager for SA), Rodriguez, David Lee Roth (Van Halen), Coolio and the late Chris Cornell (Soundgarden/Audioslave).

"Sex, Drums and Rock 'n Roll...in Africa", is a unique book written by Danny giving account of all his experiences and adventures as a musician over the last 40 years. His warm, outgoing and engaging personality gave rise to some very interesting and funny stories. It is a definitive hillarious first-hand unofficial history of SA Rock and a must read for any music lover in South Africa and abroad.
