Polokwane is facing a citywide power outage. According to Polokwane Municipality the disruption has been traced back to an issue on Eskom’s side, and their teams are currently working to locate and fix the fault.
There have been reports of veld fires in the Sonplaas area near power lines, but Eskom has not confirmed whether these fires are linked to the outage. They are still investigating all possible causes.
The municipality is asking residents to remain patient while Eskom works to restore power. Updates will be provided as the situation develops.
