The Winter Festival organised by Polokwane Neighbourhood Watch is set to take place on July 20, 2024, at Piet Joubert School, promising a day filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit. The festival kicks off at 7:30 am with a high-energy aerobics session, setting the stage for a day of diverse activities and entertainment.
A key feature of the event is the 5km fun run, organised by the Pietersburg Roadrunners, which will have participants racing in support of the community. Music lovers can look forward to performances by talented artists from Rock Hard Music School, Will Jordan, and K Slash, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the day.
Sports enthusiasts can watch the Springbok game on the big-screen between 5 pm and 7 pm, while those seeking a bit of competitive fun can participate in the “Battle of the Patrols.” This paintball challenge will determine the top patrol team or safety company in a thrilling showdown.
The festival also boasts a variety of food stalls offering delicious treats, and a market for curios, perfect for finding unique items. Attendees can enjoy Segway rides, making for a fun and modern way to explore the festival grounds. Children will have their own dedicated area with numerous activities to keep them entertained, while adults can relax in the beer garden, sampling a selection of beers on tap.
The festival not only provides entertainment but also serves as a crucial fundraiser for the Polokwane Neighbourhood Watch, helping to support their efforts in maintaining community safety.
Orion Hotels and Resorts South Africa, proud supporters of the event, will be offering some fantastic prizes in conjunction with the festival. To enter, share the Polokwane Winter Festival video-post on JouRadio’s Facebook page. T’s and C’s apply.
