Polokwane Municipality announced a planned power outage by Eskom on 29 February 2024, beginning at 7:00 AM and concluding at 5:00 PM at the Alpha 11kv Substation.
The purpose of the outage is to facilitate the maintenance and replacement of electrical infrastructure at the substation.
The following areas will be impacted:

Extension 65 (African Jewel)
Place of Safety
Sterkloop Agriculture on the Percy Five Road
Pretoria 11kV line
Extension 71
Extension 75
Extension 76
Consumers are advised to switch off all electrical appliances and consider all electrical wiring as “Live” during the outage to avoid damage and injuries.
The municipality encourages consumers to make necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled power outage and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
